Baton Rouge Disaster Relief

Friends –

Over the course of the last week, South Louisiana was hit with almost 7 trillion gallons of rain, likely to be the worst natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy in 2012. This devastating storm has led to the loss of 13 lives, damaged some 60,000 homes, displaced some 100,000 residents, and caused billions of dollars in damage.

Unfortunately, while the rains may have stopped, the flooding hasn’t, so those numbers have continued to rise. We at The Community Foundation are saddened by this natural disaster, but we also know it’s critical moments like these when every little bit helps.

Please visit the Baton Rouge Area Foundation for more information on how you can support those who have been affected by this disaster.
