Conway Center Opens in Ward 8 Bellevue Neighborhood

Starting this week, District of Columbia residents have a new option for healthcare services in the Bellevue neighborhood of Ward 8. Community of Hope, a nonprofit that’s been dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for low-income, homeless, and underserved families and individuals in the District of Columbia for more than 30 years, today opened the doors to the Conway Health and Resource Center. The Center is a  state-of-the-art, 50,000 square foot community hub that will provide expanded access to medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to approximately 10,000 District residents.

The Community Foundation has been honored to be a partner in Community of Hope’s expansion: As a result of a $40,000 investment by the Foundation’s Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative, Community of Hope was able to launch an innovative workforce development program that is training neighborhood residents for jobs at the new clinic.
