The 2016 Annual Celebration of Philanthropy

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our 2016 Annual Celebration of Philanthropy! We were so pleased to feature uplifting performances from some of our region’s most exciting performing artists and nonprofits, and to salute our 2016 Civic Spirit Award honorees – Lynne and Joe Horning, and the Horning Family Fund. The Hornings are an inspiration and truly embody the definition of civic spirit.

As I said that evening, it’s an honor for me to have joined The Community Foundation, and to work with my colleagues to ensure that we are truly the community’s connector – a backbone that supports and bolsters the many nonprofits that are providing essential services for our community. The Community Foundation connects caring people to causes that matter. And never is this more apparent than when we gather for a celebration like this one! This year’s Celebration of Philanthropy, which raised over $500,000, will help make our work possible.

To our generous family of donors, sponsors, nonprofit partners, funding colleagues, and friends – my deepest thanks for being such caring neighbors.

As your community foundation, we’re here for you as you look to engage in community-based work, find new ways to give back, or learn more about how you can best make a difference. Whether we can help you set up a fund, grow your fund, or provide advice and counsel on your philanthropy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

This is bold and important work. From all of us at The Community Foundation – thank you for being an essential part of it.
