Last year, Sharing DC awarded grants to nine organizations. These agencies provide a broad range of services to vulnerable families. Funding helped support permanent housing, job training, supportive and other services. Our grantees are:

  • Bright Beginnings
To support educational and development services to homeless children and stabilization services to their parents.
  • Calvary Women’s Services
To provide housing and support services for homeless women.
  • Community of Hope
To provide permanent supportive housing to families with disabled heads of household.
  • District Alliance for Safe Housing
To provide affordable, transitional and permanent housing to women affected by domestic or sexual violence.
  • The Elizabeth Ministry
To provide childcare, housing, and supplies for teen mothers and their children.
  • Hope and A Home
To provide transitional housing, education, and other supportive services for homeless families.
  • Miriam’s Kitchen
To provide case management to families at risk of becoming homeless or are currently homeless.
  • N Street Village
To provide supportive services to women living with HIV/AIDS, mental illness, or substance abuse.

Through Sharing DC we hope to encourage more residents to give and volunteer where they live.
