Quarterly Financial Reporting:
At the end of each fiscal quarter (June 30; September 30; December 31; March 30), you will receive a financial report on the investment returns and grantmaking activity of your fund. We maintain a complete history of your grantmaking in The Foundation’s comprehensive database, as well as a hard copy of this history in your file. By managing accounting and recordkeeping for your fund, we relieve you of administrative tasks and IRS reporting.
Donor Orientations introduce new Community Foundation donors to the many donor services we offer.
Donor Salons provide opportunities to share best practices in philanthropy, examine trends, review ways in which area nonprofit organizations are addressing regional issues, and explore giving opportunities.
Annual Meetings feature thought-provoking discussion forums as well as the President’s report on our work over the past year.
The Community Foundation offers various publications, distributed to all donors free-of-charge. Each fiscal year’s Annual Report highlights The Foundation’s activities, fiscal management, grants and inspiring donor stories. Our reports and issue briefs draw upon new research to examine pressing regional issues.
The Community Foundation verifies all grant distributions through a rigorous due diligence process, ensuring that the recommended nonprofit is a registered public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Donor Recognition or Donor Anonymity:
When you make a gift from your fund, an award letter recognizing you by name as the donor is generally sent to the grantee organization. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, we will ensure that your identity is kept confidential.
