The Community Foundation focuses its Community Leadership work in three key areas—Education, Workforce Development and Safety Net —with the overarching goal of achieving economic security for all residents of the greater Washington region. Economic security is only possible when our youth graduate high school ready for college and careers; adult workers can obtain the skills and credentials needed to thrive in the region’s economy; and residents feel secure with their basic human needs such as food and shelter.

For 40 years, The Community Foundation has brought together people and resources to tackle critical community issues, providing leadership and ensuring that our region is safe, vibrant, and thriving for all residents.
