guaranteed income
As one of the most promising approaches to provide greater economic stability for families, we expanded our investments in guaranteed income pilots throughout the region, including Let’s Go DMV! (DC/regional), MoCo BOOST (Montgomery County), and Arlington’s Guarantee (VA) – with plans to launch a pilot in Prince George’s County.
Health Equity Fund
Mindful that health and wealth are inextricably linked, the Health Equity Fund made its first investments of $9.2 million to support 32 DC nonprofits engaged in economic mobility programs to help close the glaring and intolerable racial health and wealth gap.
Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative
The Workforce Development Collaborative continued supporting research and advocacy work with renewal grants to DC Fiscal Policy Institute, Job Opportunities Task Force, Maryland Center on Economic Policy, Progressive Maryland, and The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis. The Collaborative also began a visioning process to determine the direction for its governance, investment strategy, and fundraising.
