our donors and partners are turning their philanthropic passions into action and impact

“I love Washington, DC,” Fonda Sutton shared. “I’ve lived in this city longer than my own birthplace. For me, this work is not only necessary – it’s personal.”

For Sharing DC Member Fonda Sutton, participating in the Sharing DC initiative has been a labor of love for the city she is proud to call home.

“The Community Foundation helped us to understand the larger scale impact of philanthropic work through a community lens,” Keisha Hawkins shared. “It allowed us to interact with people from across my community, coming together to give back to the community they live in.”

David & Keisha Hawkins are a power couple who are passionate about making a difference in Prince George’s.

“As an immigrant working in the banking industry, I really connect to the importance of promoting economic mobility,” Morales shared.

“Through The Community Foundation and the Sharing Montgomery initiative, I’ve been able to see how my contributions can play a role in that.”

Exploring Issues that Matter to Our Community

The Community Foundation is proud to share our deep community knowledge with our donors and partners through learning, networking, and other engagement opportunities held across the region. Throughout the year, our community of givers and doers come together to discuss topics of interest, celebrate our collective accomplishments and impact, and examine emerging trends.
